Ghost Jedi

This was done with Light FX. Light FX is a program that I wrote in Visual Basic. It takes an avi file as input and replaces certain target colors. In this picture, the program replaced the background with an image that I had rendered in Ray Dream Studio. The light saber is actually a green broom stick which was replaced by the software with glowing blue-green light. Light FX isn't anywhere near being ready to be released. It still isn't very user friendly and has a few wrinkles I'd like to iron out. But, when it is ready, I'll post it here as a free download.

Mike's World

This was created with Ray Dream Studio using the Four Season's filter.

Roller Coaster 1

This is a still taken from my roller coaster animation as the coaster climbs to the top of the first hill.

Roller Coaster II

This a another still taken from the same animation. This is just before the coaster takes it's first drop.

The Chess Game

Besides programming and computer graphics, my other great passion is chess. In this scene, two of my Poser 4 characters are squaring off for a match of the minds. You can download the model for the chessboard on my downloads page.

Chess Game II

I've been experimenting with camera angles lately. Buy changing the camera's position relative to the action. You can change the mood of the shot.

Chess Game III

Chess Game IV

Chess Game V

These ladies play a lot of chess!

UFO

The UFO is one of the most detailed models I've ever worked on. It features outside decals and lights, a front-mounted camera that can be used to simulate a working viewscreen (via rotoscoping), a down swinging outside door, and a fully detailed bridge.

These is a front and top views of the UFO.

Both of these shots were from the back of the bridge. (Left) This is a view of some of the control panels toward the rear of the UFO's bridge. They include tactical, engineering, communications, and sensors. (Right) This view is from the weapons station on the UFO's bridge. In the background, you can see that the viewscreen, science station, and navigator consoles are all detailed as well.

This view is from directly in front of the viewscreen looking back at the UFO's bridge.
